Evolution and its loopholes

There seems to be a problem with the idea of natural.  What nature produced originally was nothing like the brussel sprout for example – the brussel sprout is a human creation.   The human being, the observer of ‘evolution’, seems not to be part of the process whereby the the living thing or the creature evolves naturally; it seems instead that human beings imagine their evolution … I mean, it is not a material process that is being described if the transformation originates in the imagination.  If evolution is a rational artefact in this way.
