Cheney

What ifs.  Cheney assumes the American presidency.  Bush is ill or dead.   The gloves come off.  I wonder what the consequences would be.  My guess is a national emergency in which the judiciary would be suspended and thus is enforced some sort of dictatorship on America, but what then?  What then?!  Cheney seems to have nothing but contempt for democracy but perhaps America would rally, as Roth predicts in the counter-history novel The Plot Against America .

As if Bush weren’t bad enough.
